Gujarat BJP in celebration mode as party inches towards landslide win | In Pics

Visuals from Bharatiya Janata Party's headquarters in Gandhinagar and elsewhere in Gujarat embody the spirits of party workers who are in celebration mode as the party, which has won 13 seats and is leading in 143 others, inches closer to a seventh consecutive term in the state. Any doubt over a possible three-way contest in Gujarat - between BJP, Congress, and debutant Aam Aadmi Party - seems to have been dismissed by the BJP’s strong showing. As party workers and supporters rejoice over the landslide win, state BJP chief CR Patil has announced that incumbent chief minister Bhupendra Patel will take oath on Monday while Patel himself, welcoming the people's “mandate” said the “result again proved that people love PM Modi".
