Sachin Tendulkar offers prayers to Baba Shri Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi on Saturday. After offering prayers, Tendulkar and other dignitaries will arrive at the event site, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the project, to be built at the cost of about 450 crore.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, President Roger Binny, Vice President Rajiv Shukla are also among the attendees at the event. The BCCI will spend 330 crores on the stadium's construction.

The spectators' gallery of the stadium will resemble the steps of the ghats of Varanasi. Situated near the Ring Road in Rajatalab area, it is likely to be ready by December 2025, it said.
