Wrestlers' Protest Day 12: BKU farmers clash with police at Jantar Mantar
Wrestlers have been protesting against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the President of the Wrestling Federation of India, who has been accused of sexual harassment.
Bharatiya Kisan Union farmers on Monday clashed with the police at Jantar Mantar where wrestlers including Olympic medalists Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat, have been protesting against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the President of the Wrestling Federation of India, who has been accused of sexual harassment. Tribals and farmers affected by the Ken-Betwa river-linking project stage a symbolic Chita Andolan (pyre protests), Jal Satyagraha and hanging satyagraha by placing nooses around their necks, over their demands of better compensation and rehabilitation, in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh.
