Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) just about managed to keep themselves in the race for the playoffs in the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a five-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings at the Chepauk Stadium. It was the first time that CSK lost to SRH at home and it has put them on the brink of elimination.

Mumbai Indians were at their ruthless best against a happless Sunrisers Hyderabad as they pulled off a fourth consecutive victory with a seven-wicket win at the latter's home. Trent Boult led an incredible bowling effort with a four-wicket haul, which restricted SRH to a score of 143/8 after which Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav's knocks helped MI finish the job.
