Lakshya Sen missed out on bronze in men's singles and that meant that India's star-studded badminton contingent come home without winning a single medal at the Paris Olympics. Later, Maheshwari Chauhan and Anant Jeet Singh Naruka got India through to a surprise mixed team skeet shooting bronze medal match. They narrowly lost to China and finished fourth. Avinash Sable later became the first Indian to reach the finals of a track and field event at Paris 2024. (PTI)

Maheshwari Chauhan was the star for India as she and Naruka finished fourth in mixed team skeet qualification and reached the final. Chauhan missed just one out of the 75 shots she took on the day. She missed her 21st shot, which means she went on a streak of 20 hits before that and a whopping 54 hits after. Naruka went on a streak of 37 hits and then missed his 38th, 47th and 73rd shots.(AP)
