Kondhwa police on Friday busted a high-profile sex racket during a raid at Shalimar Society in Kondhwa.

Two women of Ugandan origin were rescued. However, police are yet to arrest the person operating the sex racket through the medium of text messages and calls.
Acting on a tip-off, the raid was carried out on Friday afternoon at Flat no 103 of the D-Wing in Shalimar Hills Society.
Before carrying out the raid a trap was laid out by the police to catch the racketeer. On the instructions of senior police officials, a youth posing as a customer made a call to the number.
The trafficker, on the other side, informed of the rates as well as the location of the flat.
The youth was sent to the location for the confirmation of facts in the guise of a customer, after which the raid was carried out.
The two rescued women were reportedly 24 and 32 years of age. The duo came to India on a medical visa six months back and continued living in the country even after the visa expired.
Milind Gaikwad, police inspector, Kondhwa police station, said, “Although we have rescued both the women we still have to arrest the kingpin who has been running the racket through phones.
