Army officer killed in road mishap near Pathankot

Rampal was serving in Amritsar’s army hospital and was about to get married in February next year.

An army officer died in a road mishap near Jandwal village near Pathankot on late Sunday night.

While returning from Kandwal village to his home in a car, victim Major Doctor Abhinandan Rampal, 28, got hit by an unidentified vehicle.

Rampal was serving in Amritsar’s army hospital and was about to get married in February next year.

Son of a retired pharmacist Jugal Kishore, Major’s vehicle took many turns after the hit by the vehicle. Station house officer (SHO) Kuldip said, “We have sent the body for postmortem and a case has been registered against unidentified persons.”
