Bajwa, who was here to pay obeisance at local Kali Dawara temple, said the Badals should do some reality check in view of the denial of any such wave by one of the seniormost BJP leaders, Murli Manohar Joshi, a former union minister, who himself was contesting the Lok Sabha election and had formulated the party manifesto.

He said the Badals were promising everything under the sun to the people in the state in case Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister whereas the BJP leaders themselves were not so sure of forming the government.

Bajwa claimed that what was all the more ridiculous was that the Badals were trying to befool people saying that the development of the state depended entirely upon the government at the Centre thereby abdicating the responsibility of the state government. He said the constitution was clear about the areas of responsibility of the Centre and the state governments.

The PPCC chief called upon Badal to learn lesson from the observations of Joshi who had rejected the Gujarat model as a panacea for all the problems in the country.
