The police commissioner on Tuesday issued orders to ban the sale of meat and eggs on November 6, the birth anniversary of first Sikh guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji.

According to the orders, sale of meat and eggs at all hotels, dhabas, restaurants, shops and carts will be banned.
The police commissioner also added that strict action will be taken against violators found selling meat and eggs on the day.
