Even as police attempt to zero in on the killers of bouncer Amit Sharma alias Meet, who was shot dead by two assailants in Saketri last week, gangster Vicky Gounder has shared a post on his Facebook page claiming that he was not involved in the bouncer’s murder.

Gounder’s name has been brought up time and again in connection with the murder that happened last Monday.

One of the theories propagated by cops is that the main accused in this murder was Gagandeep Singh. He met Gounder in Ropar and Nabha jail and there were chances that he plotted Meet’s murder with the help of the gangster’s aides.

Mohali senior superintendent of police Kuldeep Singh, who already interrogated Gagandeep last week, said it was impossible to say anything at this stage. Those booked for the murder were yet to be arrested.

Panchkula deputy commissioner of police Ashok Kumar said they will have Gagandeep’s custody on Monday and will be able to say anything only after they thoroughly interrogated him.

Mohali police have already claimed that Gagandeep murdered Meet with the help of two Zirakpur men but no arrests have been made so far.

Police said the matter was still under investigation.
