Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger says he will not be intimidated by reported threats to his safety, as German authorities maintain heightened security around the defence executive. Papperger is reportedly under round-the-clock police protection following concerns over possible Russian targeting. The threats come as Rheinmetall remains a major supplier of weapons to Ukraine and expands defence production in the country. German intelligence has also warned defence companies about rising risks of Russian espionage and sabotage. Despite the security concerns, Papperger says he has no plans to step down and intends to continue leading Rheinmetall through the remainder of his contract.
