The Punjab Congress on Wednesday expressed anger over the state government's decision to bring Delhi blasts' convict Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar from Tihar Jail to Amritsar prison.
Punjab Congress spokesperson Nimisha Mehta, in a statement, strongly objected to the move of the state government and accused Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal of sympathising with terrorists rather than victims of terrorism in the state.
Mehta flayed the decision of the Badal government to send a memorandum to the Centre for bringing Bhullar back.
"Such a move was clearly aimed at vitiating the hard-earned peace in Punjab. The CM should make his stand clear that whether he was here to support and sympathise with terrorists or their victims," she said. After being publicly flayed over poor development in the state, Badal was deliberately trying all tactics to divert public attention to Sikh issues.
The Punjab Congress spokesperson claimed by bringing Bhullar back to Punjab, the Badal government was trying to terrorise the Hindus in the state. "This is a sinister plan of the Badal government which spells out the agenda of terrorising Hindus and provoking Sikhs in the state," she said.
She maintained that it was a matter of shame that Badal was least concerned about the welfare of over 35,000 terrorism victims in Punjab.

{{/usCountry}}"Whether it was the case of terrorist Balwant Singh Rajoana, who was convicted in connection with assassination of former CM Beant Singh or a terrorist like Bhullar, Badal has always shown sympathy towards terrorists," she claimed.
The Congress spokesperson demanded that the Punjab BJP, the alliance partner of the SAD in the state, should clear its stand on move to bring back Bhullar.
