Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) will organise its eighth athletics meet on February 25. This information was shared by SPS Sangha, director, student's welfare, GADVASU.
While informing about the event, Sangha said VK Taneja, vice-chancellor, GADVASU, will inaugurate the meet.
Manjit Singh, assistant director and organising secretary, athletics meet, said the campus colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, College of Fisheries and College of Dairy Science and Technology would participate, along with Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani (Bathinda) and Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar.
APS Brar, president, athletics committee, GADVASU, said all arrangements to facilitate the sportspersons had been completed. Duties for first aid, record keeping, track-related requirements have been earmarked.
A horse show and cultural programme would also be held during the function, he added.
