Demanding a ban on the recently released Bollywood movie 'Guddu Rangeela', representatives of several khaps have decided to file a case against the producers and actors of the movie alleging that the movie has represented a grim picture of khap panchayats.
In this regard, representatives of several khaps, lead by khap 84 president Hardeep Singh Ahalawat, met city magistrate here and demanded a ban on the movie in the city. The khap leaders said that the movie is an attempt to spread disinformation about the khaps. The khap leaders said they will file a case against the director, producer and actors of the movie.
"The movie has presented a negative picture of the khap panchayats, while ignoring the contribution of khaps to the society", said Ahlawat.
