Land records being put online in Patiala

The Punjab government has instructed to computerise all land records on top priority and all information regarding zamabandis, etc., is being put online in Patiala district. Disclosing this here on Saturday, Surjit Singh Rakhra, rural development and panchayat minister, said most work of digitalisation and online work of land records is complete in the district.

The Punjab government has instructed to computerise all land records on top priority and all information regarding zamabandis, etc., is being put online in Patiala district. Disclosing this here on Saturday, Surjit Singh Rakhra, rural development and panchayat minister, said most work of digitalisation and online work of land records is complete in the district.

Rakhra said out of 933 villages in the district, land records in 878 villages have been made online by the revenue department officials after hearing all objections till date.
He directed the officials to complete work for the remaining 55 villages and there should not be any laxity in the work.

The minister added that all records are available on Punjab land record society's website www.plrs.org.in and any land owner can see the record online and even take a printout.

He said out of 271villages of Patiala Fard Kendra, 236 are online, in Dudhan Sadhan out 96 villages 95 are online, in Nabha out of 131 villages 128 online, in Samana out of 73 villages 71 online and in Patran out of 69 villages land records in 65 villages are online.
