The Sirsa depot bus collided with the parked truck from behind from the conductor’s side and 11 occupants suffered injuries and were rushed to the hospital. One woman who was complaining of vomiting took her head out of window when the mishap happened and died on the spot. The police sent the body to government hospital.

The deceased, Pushpa, was a resident of Hisar. The injured were identified as Deep Singh, Surjeet Singh, Lalchand, Rajinder, Kuldeep Kaur, Shina, Sharvan Singh, Sunil Kumari, Ramesh Chander, two police personnel Choturam, Subhash and three others. The injured were admitted to a hospital.

There were 30 to 40 passengers travelling in the bus and some of the passengers said the bus driver was driving fast and many times passengers told him to slow down as visibility was low due to the fog. But he, apparently, did not listen to passengers and kept on driving fast.
