While interacting with HT here on Wednesday, Krishna said the cycle expedition started off in Kutch from January 1 and reached Cochin on February 7. “It was a challenging journey and we covered the distance of about 2,500 kilometres within 34 days on our bicycles,” she added. She stated the expedition was organized under the banner of Women Adventure Network of India

She revealed the expedition team was inspired and motivated by noted mountaineer and the first woman to scale Mount Everest Bachhendri Pal.

Krishna, who comes from Goshal village across the Beas river, about 5 km from here, said by successfully organizing the expedition the team members set an example for women - that they could be successful in adventure sports if they were determined and motivated.
