A 17-year-old-girl was allegedly raped by two youths in Bhawanigarh town of the district. The girl has filed a complaint that Jagdish Singh of Shuhi village in Nabha and Laddi of Bhawanigarh raped her on Thursday night when she went to the latter's grocery shop store to make some purchases.
The accused are yet to be arrested. The Bhawanigarh police said the accused had been booked under sections 376 (punishment for rape), 363 (punishment for kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage, etc), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation.), 323 ( punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC.
