While giving this information here on Friday, deputy commissioner Arshdeep Singh Thind said that in this regard, the Union ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs has launched a software module which is now available on its website www.moia.gov.in

He said that a link on this page leads one to a form that requires details of the deceased and details of the person seeking the transportation of the mortal remains of the deceased from the ECR countries such as Malaysia, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Sudan, Afghanistan, Qatar, Indonesia, Oman, Syria, Libya and Thailand.

Relatives of the deceased need to fill this form and the information will be available to the Indian embassies or missions in the relevant countries.
