The main problem discussed at the meeting was non-availability of books published by the PSEB. Rajinder Sharma, president of the Association of PSEB Affiliated Schools, said from April 1 to 16, the board had supplied books to the Sarab Shikya Abhiyan (SSA) authorities. However, the regional book depot had not provided any book to the affiliated schools so far, he added.

“When we approached the regional books depot, they gave us only three to four subjects out of 35 titles. In spite of repeated visits to the books depot, we have not received any other book”, he added.

He further said that they brought the matter into the notice of the chairman-secretary of the PSEB, who assured us that the problem would be sorted out, but all in vain.

Later, the members of the committee decided to take up the issue with the Punjab education minister to find a solution.
