Sarpanch murder: Police get production warrant of suspec

The Sadar police have got one of the suspects in the sarpanch Ravi Khwajke murder case on production warrant from jail. The police had moved an application in the court demanding production warrant of Davinder Singh Gugni for investigation.

The Sadar police have got one of the suspects in the sarpanch Ravi Khwajke murder case on production warrant from jail. The police had moved an application in the court demanding production warrant of Davinder Singh Gugni for investigation.

The court sent the accused to five-day police custody.

Sources said Gugni has confessed to his involvement in the crime. He told the police that they had hatched a conspiracy in the jail following rivalry and got their accomplices who used to visit them in jail.

The accused have also confessed that they had procured, but their accomplices were caught and the weapons were confiscated by police and their plot was foiled.

Another suspect in the murder case Karamveer Singh is also in jail on judicial remand. The police would also try to get him on production warrant for questioning. The police have launched a manhunt to arrest of accused, but to no avail.

Sadar police station SHO Amandeep Singh Brar said several teams have been formed to nab the accused. He said the police will arrest all the accused soon.
