“It is the love and affection from my fans that has forced me to try my hand at acting. Singing remains my life. I hope that the audience accepts me as an actor as well,” he said. He claimed that he did try his hand at theatre when in school and used to enjoy the atmosphere.

“In the movie, I play the role of an endearing romantic guy, somewhat similar to what I was in real life, ten years ago.”

He said that the character was comic, but only as demanded by the script. Binu Dhillon and Yograj Singh also have good roles, he said.

“I have also written the songs, as demanded by the situation. The aim is also to send out a message,” he added.

The movie, directed by Aditya Sood stars Niharika Kareer opposite Mann and releases on June 14.
