Verka takes a dig at Punjab govt over its stand on drug menace

Taking a dig at the Punjab government for its stand on the drug menace in the state, Congress leader Dr Raj Kumar Verka alleged that the government has a dual stand on the issue. He said, “On one hand the Punjab police has launched a special drive to dispose the narcotics recovered in past few years. On the other, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal is busy propagating that Punjab shouldn’t be associated with drugs.”

On Thursday Director General of Police Suresh Arora along with other officials disposed off the seized narcotic drugs. He said Congress demands that people responsible for drugs in the state should be held accountable.
