Activists of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Monday lodged a complaint against Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim for hurting the religious sentiments by allegedly posing as Lord Vishnu in a video.

A video in which Ram Rahim is seen descending from the sky in a get-up allegedly similar to that of Lord Vishnu went viral on the social media a couple of days ago.
Rahul, a VHP activist, filed a complaint with the Moga police against the dera chief for hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindu community by trying to imitate Lord Vishnu.

However, the district police have not yet registered the first information report (FIR) in this regard. Moga senior superintendent of police (SSP) Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar said police had received the complaint, but the VHP activists were yet to provide them the video footage for proof. “Investigations will be carried out once the complainant hands over the video to us,” he said.
