"If you ask me sure, would have loved to be seen as Madhubala. It would have been a heady feeling to wear all those ornate pieces of work. Which woman won?t," Locket told PTI at a Mughal-themed art show in the city.

The Nayika Sangbad heroine, who was the show-stopper at Meenabazar-themed ramp, said the highest-grosser Bollywood magnum opus of the 60s would be any actor's dream to be part of both from the costumer's part as well as due to its periodicity but she was always fascinated with Madhubala's jewellery.

Rating the Chokher Bali by Rituparno Ghosh as one of the most fascinating Bengali films with such rich visual elements, where elaborate costume jewellery played a part, Locket said, "Let there be more Bengali films touching this genre to let us, the audience, know about our diverse ethnicity in art."

Celebrity designers having taken part in global shows including the Lakme India Fashion Week Aartivijay Gupta, Rheya Bhattacharya Grewal (Delhi), Pranay Baidya Atelier took part in the art, fashion converge - a blend of mughal-era and contemporary with 70 designers/ participants from all over India emblazing their latest collections, the initiator behind the move Lopamudra Mondal Saha said.
