With Jai Lava Kusa, Jr NTR will tread into uncharted territories

Jai Lava Kusa features Jr NTR as triplet brothers -- Jai, Lava and Kusa -- and he is said to be playing a character with negative shades as well. Many believe this could be his best work yet.

Jr NTR is undoubtedly one of the most exciting actors of our time in Telugu filmdom. While he’s had his shares of hits and misses, good and awful films, his career took a detour with Puri Jagannadh’s Temper, and there’s been no turning back for the star since then. His next two releases - Nannaku Prematho and Janatha Garage - proved his hunger to push himself out of his comfort zone and with Jai Lava Kusa, in which he’s playing triple role, he’s pushing the envelope further and treading uncharted territories. According to director Bobby, no other actor could have played such diverse characters. He also said he wouldn’t have made this film with any other actor.

Talking to Pinkvilla, director Bobby said working with Jr NTR was memorable in Jai Lava Kusa. “The whole experience was very memorable, and it was for the entire unit. When you’re working with Tarak, you can be assured that the film will shape the way you want. He’s an amazing actor and audiences will see what more he’s capable of doing in Jai Lava Kusa, which I believe will be a landmark film in his career. When he gave his nod, he said that this film will be a milestone in the careers of everybody involved in the project.” NTR had admitted playing three characters, especially essaying Jai’s character, took on a toll on him. But he also said this opportunity challenged him as an actor and it helped him opening to take on any role without any qualms.
