The pre-production work on both the projects has already started.

Lingusamy has worked with Karthi and Vishal earlier.

"Following the grand success of Paiyya, I will be teaming up with Karthi in a project. A newcomer will be playing the female lead and details about others in the cast will be finalised and confirmed shortly," Lingusamy said in a statement.

"Soon after this project, I will start working with Vishal in Sandakozhi 2, which will be released in Telugu as well," he said.

In 2014, Lingusamy-directed Tamil actioner Anjaan turned out to be a dud, but as a producer he was quite successful with films such as Ivan Vera Mathiri and Goli Soda.
