Tiwari, in the line of fire from Biharis over his reported support to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray today took to 'Gandhigiri' and reached the railway station here (in patna) with scores of supporters in tow and offered flowers and bouquets to the Maharashtrian passengers on Patna-Kurla Express.

"These flowers are for you to be presented to the people in Maharashtra as the symbol of love, brotherhood and goodwill from the people of Bihar," he said handing over a bouquet to a passenger.

"The Biharis are committed to respecting and protecting the unity and integrity of India and they have equal respect and love for people from all states including Maharashtra," he said.

Tiwari was the butt of criticism in Bihar for his alleged remarks published in newspapers recently supporting Thackeray in the wake of assault on Hindi-speaking people including Biharis in Maharashtra, though the actor-singer had denied the charge.
