Telugu actor Akhil Akkineni, son of actors Nagarjuna and Amala, got engaged to his ladylove of many years, Shriya Bhupal in a private ceremony in Hyderabad on Friday. Shriya is a city-based fashion designer and the granddaughter of business tycoon GVK Reddy.
The engagement was attended by families hailing from the southern film industries only and took place at GVK House in the city. Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari performed at the function.

{{/usCountry}}While Akhil and Shriya have dated each other for long, their families learned of their relationship only in 2015.
The report also says that the two are likely to have a destination wedding, possibly in Italy. Around 600 guests are expected to fly in from all parts of the world.
Akhil made his acting debut in Telugu film Akhil (2015) though he did have a guest appearance in Manam (2014) which starred three generations of the Akkeneni clan -- Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Akkineni Naga Chaitanya.
Shriya is the official costume designer for Filmfare South. She has worked with many big names including Shriya Saran, Kajal Agarwal, Rakul Preet, Shraddha Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
