The second song from Gautham Menon’s brain child Ondraga Originals, Ulaviravu, is all about how love has changed with the onset of technology. The conversation is relatable, especially if you have ever been in a long distance relationship. Ulaviravu, meaning date night, throws light on love in the time of technology. The song stars television host DD aka Dhivya Dharshini and actor Tovino Thomas.

The lyrics of the track are penned by Madhan Karky and leave you smiling with each line with Karthik lending voice to the feelings. “Dhoorathu kadhal, oh yen kopai theneer alla,” means loving from far away is not my cup of tea. The lyrics uses phrases from English that we use regularly, and translated in Tamil we are amazed at how it all comes together.

Even the way Tovino asks DD on a date is so poetic. The song then describes what makes for a perfect date. The song directed by Gautham is the second one in the series of originals. The first one titled Koova (meaning Owl) featured choreographer Sathish. The common thread between both the songs are the refreshing lyrics. Simple, and yet thoughtful!
