The trailer of Dhanush’s directorial debut Power Paandi is out and it’s brimming with heart and a poignant story. Going by the visuals, it looks like the story revolves around veteran actor Raj Kiran, who plays the titular character Paandi, aged 64, and on a journey to find his own purpose in life. There’s also a dialogue in the film where Paandi is asked to live life on his own terms instead of living for others.
It is rumoured that Raj Kiran plays a former stuntman in the film. He goes on a road trip with friends to explore life, reconnect with long forgotten love and find his true purpose in life. The trailer also promises the film will be high on family bonding as it features lovely shots of Raj Kiran bonding with his grandchildren. Actor-filmmaker Revathy plays Raj Kiran’s love interest and the fleeting shot of their romance is heartwarming.
Dhanush is briefly seen towards the end of the trailer. Also starring Prasanna, Chaya Singh and Divyadarshini, the film is gearing up for release on April 14.
