Punjabi movie Punjab 1984 opened to an overwhelming response, not only in India but also abroad. According to reports and trade analysts, the movie is expected to break the record of highest opening in Punjabi cinema.
Having received a humongous start on the very first day, both India and abroad, film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Punjabi film #Punjab1984 achieves the highest opening day figures Rs 1.41 crore on Friday in India."
Not only this, all praises for his wife, Kirron Kher, playing role of a mother in search of her lost son, actor Anupam Kher tweeted, "Jai Ho.:) @HONEY4196: i just watched @KirronKherBJP in a movie. only if there was something bigger than oscars she deserves that.#punjab1984."
