Actor Siddharth is back in Telugu cinema after a hiatus of four years. He recently shared the teaser of his new horror film, Gruham. It opens with Siddharth telling his co-star to concentrate on the ticking of the clock. As the clock ticks and the lady in question dives deep into her memory, dark secrets emerge and they are anything but pleasant.
As the teaser opens and we hear Siddharth’s voice, it is evident that he is a psychologist. He tells her: “Jenny, close your eyes. Focus on the darkness. I need you to answer my questions. Do you like living here? Do you want to return to your previous home?”
The viewer is bombarded by a series of images -- somewhere in snow-capped mountains, in a very picturesque setting, a little girl witnesses something from behind a curtain. Strangely, there is Sidharth by her side. There are montages of doctors, a man and woman, in an operation theatre. There are a suspicious-looking man serving (or perhaps picking up) something. There’s another -- an image of a young girl and her mother opening a cloth-wrapped pack and some tender moments together. As images flash by, we get the sense that something really eerie is about to unfold. Then, suddenly we notice a hand putting a stop to the ticking of the clock and all hell breaks loose.

The film, directed by Milind Rau and produced by Siddharth & Viacom18 Motion Pictures, will be dubbed in Hindi as The House Next Door and in Tamil as Aval.
