Love porn? Believe it or not, it can actually ruin your sex life

A new study has examined that men who regularly watch porn are more likely to depend on it to stay aroused and are less likely to enjoy sex with a real-life partner. They are inclined to integrate pornography into sexual activities.

A new study has examined that men who regularly watch porn are more likely to depend on it to stay aroused and are less likely to enjoy sex with a real-life partner.

The survey approached 487 male college students aged 18 to 29 and showed that more men used pornography, the more likely they were to try to act out the same scenes and rely on pornography-inspired fantasies to engage in sex, the Washington Times reported.

Ana Bridges, associate professor of psychology at the University of Arkansas, asserted that porn was sometimes dismissed, celebrated or problematised as fantasy and many people used it as a form of entertainment.

Patrick A. Trueman, president of Morality in Media, said that this was a public health crisis and it was urgent for government and society to address it.

The study showed that people watching porn several days a week or more tended to rely on it to become and remain sexually excited and were more likely to integrate pornography into sexual activities.
