LOS ANGELES : American Ryan Moore completed a six-underpar 65 as darkness fell in Silvis, Illinois, on Saturday to carry a one-shot lead into Sunday’s final round of the weather-hit John Deere Classic. On a long day at soggy TPC Deere Run, where the second round was completed early on Saturday, Moore and his playing partners hustled through their last holes in fading light to avoid an early wake-up call to finish the third round on Sunday. It was the second 65 shot by Moore on Saturday as he never got on the course on Friday because of the rain delays.

DUCATI’S IANNONE WINS AUSTRIAN MOTOGP
SPIELBERG, AUSTRIA: Andrea Iannone claimed his maiden MotoGP victory in the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday, giving Ducati their first win since 2010. Iannone started from pole at the Red Bull Ring circuit, and despite losing the lead temporarily to team-mate Andrea Dovizioso, hit the front again in the closing stages and held on with ease. Italian team Ducati had last tasted success when Casey Stoner won in Australia almost six years ago, but they were the fastest team all week as MotoGP returned to Austria for the first time since 1997.
