An own-goal from Laura Störzel and a last-minute goal from Lea Schüller — set up by Simone Laudehr in her final game before retirement — ensured Bayern finished the season with 61 points. The two clubs’ dominance of women’s soccer in Germany goes back to 2012, when Wolfsburg ended Turbine Potsdam’s four-year winning streak. Potsdam and FFC Frankfurt had previously exchanged the championship since Duisberg won in 2000.
Hoffenheim finished third this season, ahead of Potsdam, to qualify for the Champions League with Bayern and Wolfsburg.
