Navjot Sidhu making steady recovery at Indrapastha Hospital

BJP leader and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is undergoing treatment for acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT), is making steady recovery, doctors at a New Delhi hospital said on Thursday.

BJP leader and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is undergoing treatment for acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT), is making steady recovery, doctors at a New Delhi hospital said on Thursday.

“He is being treated by our team of experts and is making steady recovery,” Indraprastha Apollo Hospital authorities reported in a statement.

They said no surgery or intervention was being planned for now and that Sidhu was medically stable.

51-year-old Sidhu was admitted to the hospital with acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT) which is a life threatening condition if not treated in time.

DVT is caused by a blood clot in a deep vein which hinders the normal blood flow. The symptoms may include swelling, pain, and tenderness, often in the legs.
