All-NBA squads for the 2022-23 season were announced on Wednesday night. Philadelphia 76ers star and Most Valuable Player Joel Embiid made it to the All-NBA First Team for the first time in his career.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander were the other four players who were selected for the All-NBA First Team.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James made it to the All-NBA team in a season for the 19th time, thus creating a new record for himself. As per the votes, he became a part of the 2022-23 All-NBA Third Team. With the selection, James has been in All-NBA first team thirteen times, in All-NBA second team three times and All-NBA third team three times in his career. In the list of most All-NBA team selections, James is followed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar(15 selections), Kobe Bryant(15 selections) and Tim Duncan(15 selections).

Meanwhile, for fans of star players like Ja Morant and Kevin Durant, it was heart break as both couldn't make it to any of the three All-NBA teams in current season. Despite incredible performances in the season, Morant was involved in on-court and off-court indisciplinary issues which is believed to have led to his non-selection. The reason for Durant's non-selection is believed to him missing several games in the season due to injuries.
