Star winger Franck Ribery will miss Bayern Munich's Champions League match against Arsenal on Wednesday because of a twisted left ankle.

Bayern says Ribery was injured in Saturday's 3-2 win over Fortuna Duesseldorf in the Bundesliga. The club did not give an estimate for when Ribery is expected to return.

Bayern beat Arsenal 3-1 in London and is favored to reach the quarterfinals.
The German powerhouse will also be missing suspended midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and defender Jerome Boateng.
