Currently in dominating form, Novak Djokovic will be aiming to match Roger Federer's tally of record eight Wimbledon titles at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. The Serbian ace won a historic 23rd Grand Slam title in Roland Garros, when he defeated Casper Ruud in the French Open final. In doing so, he also set a new men's singles record and overtook Rafael Nadal.
The win also helped Djokovic take the World no. 1 spot from Carlos Alcaraz, but since then the position has gone back to the Spaniard, after he won in Queen's.

Speaking to Eurosport, seven-time Grand Slam winner Mats Wilander analysed Djokovic's chances in Wimbledon and called him the 'big favourite' but also made a massive prediction for Alcaraz. "To me, Novak Djokovic goes in as the big favourite," he said.
"And the reason that I think he's the big favourite is that I still haven't seen anyone who is as solid as Novak from the baseline that serves as well as Novak."
Analysing Alcaraz's chances, the Swedish legend said, "Of course, Carlos Alcaraz with the win in Queen's is very dangerous. But can he have learned in just one year on grass courts and not that many matches? Can he have learned enough to threaten Novak? I don't think so.

So I think he's got more time on his side than I think we most probably realise, because it's just not normal to have more time when you're 36 years old and you're winning everything already", he further added.
Alcaraz's Wimbledon preparations have also been hit with an injury concern. During his training session at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, he was seen doing exercises on his right thigh, where he injured himself during the Queen's final. But the Spaniard has calmed down fans by stating that everything is fine. He had to pull out of a pre-Wimbledon event due to injury concerns reportedly.
