After his remark stirred up strong reactions on social media, Sehwag revealed that his original tweet was part of a corporate campaign on environmental awareness .
In a video posted on Twitter, he said, “Bahut galat baat boli hai na maine? Bas aapko jaagruk karna tha. Growing traffic and congestion is causing an alarming rise in pollution in our cities. This has also led to a rise in your blood pressure and frustration. This World Environment Day, let’s take the first step to reduce congestion.”
