‘Common sense isn’t that common’: Mirza, Manjrekar in Twitter war of words

On Tuesday, Sania Mirza celebrated completing 80 straight weeks as the number one women’s doubles player with a tweet.

Mirza, who began participating exclusively in doubles since 2013 after being unable to cope with the physical rigours of singles, pointed out somewhat sarcastically that the doubles aspect of her tweet ought to have been understood, given she doesn’t play singles anymore. She did thank Manjrekar, however.

Manjrekar wasn’t done, however, and the exchange went back and forth for a while.
