The survey has been designed by CHIAL under the supervision of CEO Ajay Verma following the demand raised by the international flight operators for assessing the demand and the footfall from Chandigarh to foreign countries, including London

MP Manish Tewari demands ‘point of call’ status for Chandigarh airport

A large number of people travel internationally from these three states both for the purposes of work as well as for tourism. Unfortunately, the airport has not been designated as a POC for international airlines and therefore is not on the ‘bilateral offer list’, which is a prerequisite for foreign airlines to fly in and out of the airport, said Tewari in his letter to Union civil aviation minister
