In a historic decision for Jammu and Kashmir, the first international flight connection from Srinagar to Sharjah (in the United Arad Emirates) will be started soon as efforts are on so that international travellers come directly to Srinagar.

Canada is welcoming passengers from the United States, which is reporting 100,000 daily new Covid cases. As it extends the ban on direct flights from India, the only way for Indians to reach Canada is to travel to a third country where Indian flights are allowed and get tested there as Canada will also not accept Covid-19 molecular test reports from India.

The UAE has lifted the transit ban for travellers from six countries, including India, travelling from and to the country amid the ongoing coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic. Besides India, the ban has been lifted for Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria, and Uganda.
From August 10, Etihad will resume flights from Ahmedabad (transit only), Hyderabad and Mumbai.
