3.0 magnitude earthquake hits Arunachal Pradesh, fourth one in a month

  • An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale hit the Pangin area in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday, while another one had struck on Monday. On October 2, an arthquake of magnitude 4.1 had hit the northeastern state.
The earthquake hit Arunachal Pradesh at 7.53 pm today with a depth of 10 kilometres.

New alpine plant species discovered in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang district

The new species belongs to the family of Himalayan sunflower, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology research fellow Dr Lobsang Tashi Thungon, who is a member of the team, said.

5.5 magnitude earthquake hits Arunachal Pradesh early morning, 4th in 24 hrs

On Friday, three earthquakes of 5.6, 3.8 and 4.9 magnitude hit Arunachal Pradesh within minutes of each other, according to the MeT Department.
