An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale hit the Pangin area in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday, while another one had struck on Monday. On October 2, an arthquake of magnitude 4.1 had hit the northeastern state.
The earthquake hit Arunachal Pradesh at 7.53 pm today with a depth of 10 kilometres.

The new species belongs to the family of Himalayan sunflower, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology research fellow Dr Lobsang Tashi Thungon, who is a member of the team, said.
