After logging highest rainfall of the season, Mumbai braces for more; 16 NDRF teams deployed

The city recorded 331.08 mm rainfall, followed by 101.9 mm in the eastern suburbs and 76.03 mm in the western suburbs. Mumbai also saw strong winds at a speed of 106 km per hour while in other districts it was 70 to 80 kmph of nearly cyclonic intensity.

Rain intensity reduces, transport services resume in Mumbai

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall in the city and suburbs and intense showers in some parts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region in next 24 hours.

Places in Nanded, Hingoli, Parbhani, Jalna, Sangli and Aurangabad are likely to receive light to moderate rain till August 5, the IMD forecast added.
