National Girl Child Day 2024: Top 5 government girl child schemes in India

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY): Under this savings program parents have the opportunity to establish an account for a girl child from her birth until the age of 10. Contributions to the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account range from a minimum of <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>250 to a maximum of <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>1.5 lakh per year. The account matures either after 21 years from its opening or upon the girl's marriage after she turns 18.
