477 children rescued from Maha railway stations reunited with parents

  • These children - 310 boys and 167 girls, were rescued between January and July 2021 from Mumbai, Bhusawal, Nagpur, Pune and Solapur divisions of Central Railways.

Five such trains operated on Friday. This is the first time any passenger rail services operated in the country since they were suspended on March 22, three days before the national lockdown.

Loco pilot hurt after man hurls stone at moving train in Ludhiana

A senior assistant loco pilot suffered a severe injury on his face after a miscreant pelted a stone at a running train near the Sidhwan Bridge on the Dhuri railway line here on Sunday evening. The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Ambala division, has registered a case under Section 153 (endangering safety of persons travelling by railway by wilful act or omission) of the Railway Act against an unidentified person.

Railways earned over 1,300 crores from ticketless travellers in 3 years
