  • The Ghent Altarpiece was nearly destroyed in 16th century, taken to Paris after French revolution, sold off to an art dealer, almost burned in the cathedral in 1822 and bricked in during World War I to avoid German appropriation. After the Just Judges survived all that, it was stolen in April 1934

Cook found semi-conscious on road dies, kin allege robbery bid

Roshan Lal's family members have alleged that he was assaulted during a robbery bid by three to four unidentified men near the Ghazipur underpass late Saturday when he was walking towards his home in Trilokpuri after work.

Man arrested for attempting to steal toys in Connaught Place

Two theft cases were solved and two stolen mobile phones were recovered from the man, identified as Akilan. He was previously involved in eight theft cases registered at Connaught Place, RK Puram, Kalkaji, and Sarojini Nagar police stations, the police said.

With 18 cases in 2018, the Mumbai airport was the second-most theft-prone airport in India. Airports in Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai reported five, two and one, respectively.

Pune’s Swargate police drafts plan to tackle multiple theft cases
