The jobless rate rose 0.2 percentage points to 6.6% as a rapidly expanding pool of new workers were unable to find positions, Statistics Canada reported.
Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda cited the Periodic Labour Force Survey of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI), as per which, the unemployment rate in the cities of Haryana in the 15-29 age group increased from 9.5 % in the January-March quarter to 11.2 % in the April-June quarter.
