A video of a man smoking in front of children and senior citizens in a moving train is doing rounds on the internet, courtesy a co-passenger who shared the video prompting the Railway Police Personnel to reach the coach and stop the smoker. "Passengers Lighting Cigarettes in front of Kids & Senior Citizen and abusing when all are stopping them., Train No 14322 Coach S-5 Seat Number’s 39-40. Please take action as soon as possible," the passenger wrote sharing the video.
The Indian Railways through its Twitter handle @RailwaySeva responded to the complaint. "Sir, we request you to please share the journey details (PNR/UTS No.) and Mobile No. with us via DM. You may also raise your concern directly on http://railmadad.indianrailways.gov.in or dial 139 for speedy redressal- RPF India", the team responded.
A few moments later, the complainant tweeted that RPF (Railway Police Force) personnel came to Bandikui station (Rajasthan) and warned the youth and other passengers not to smoke cigarettes on the train.

{{/usCountry}}Social media users reacted to the incident and the prompt redressal of it. Some lashed out at the accused while some applauded the Railways for its prompt response. A user wrote, "These passengers must be arrested for endangering the lives of many and also to public property", while another wrote, "Power of digital india. Thank you indian railway".
According to the tweet, the incident was reported from Train No. 14322, Bhuj - Barielly Ala Hazrat Express where a man was smoking a cigarette in the train compartment sitting along with fellow passengers.
The Indian Railways attends to passengers' complaints on social media platforms. On Friday, a journalist posted a video of a man showing the quality of the food on the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express train which made the headlines.
As soon as the video went viral, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) responded to the post saying that the official concerned has been informed for corrective measures.
